I know, I know, It’s not even Thanksgiving yet. But, I’m FULL OUT Christmas already. I just need it this year for some reason. It also may be that Sirius XM is already broadcasting their Christmas stations. Which I have on constant rotation in the car. I LOVE Christmas music. My husband tried to enforce a “no Christmas music until after Thanksgiving rule.” But come on, he should know by now he doesn’t make the rules in this house.
In all my Christmas craziness, I’ve started looking for festive crafts for the kiddo. She loves crafts. Like LOVES them. If she could do them all the time, she absolutely would. However, she doesn’t always have the best final product. She’s 9 and kind of a maverick. She likes to do things her own way. Directions are not really her things. I know this is typical of most kids, but I feel like she is a bit worse than others, especially with crafts. I have to constantly redirect her. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do ler her do her own things, most of the time. It’s how she learns. But my goodness, sometimes her “way” of doing it is a bit outlandish. Oy! For this one, I let her take the reigns for the first few, then came in and did one with her so she could see a “different” way of doing it. This way, when she did the next one, it was “her idea.” Oh parenting, its all about reverse psychology. Anyhow, we loved this craft. And BONUS – you can use those left over wine corks you’ve been saving, but never done anything with.
Also, I started using my recipe template to add craft supplies and instructions. I’ve love your feedback. How does this work for you? Are you able to follow it? Does it interfere with how you import recipes? I use the Paprika App and import recipes directly from blog posts, so I definitely don’t want to mess anyone up with their normal process. Comment and let me know!
